After the rain the air smells like "Petrichor", the senses awake like thirsty grass and we are invaded by something similar to happiness... "after the Rain" was born that way... immerse in the smells that invaded the air when the water drops kissed the ground and exploded around me. It Had to be Blue like I imagine the water drops, drops that came from the ocean alive, giving life, givers; and if a stone reminds me of oceans and rains is kyanite... It has an almost glacier color to me, peaceful yet alive. Oxidized sterling in textures and vaguely similar shapes formed the necklace body, rugged, holed, burnt, mobile and to the front, dangles... rustic pendants, blue fire -in a solitaire labradorite fighting the kyanite's beauty for its place into the "water drops" and its sole red cubic zirconia (Let's there be a flower!)- and asymmetrical kyanites raining aside. The chain half industrial, half bold had to play with that asymmetry and at the end, that Petrichor had a shape, a memory tangible, captive in stones and metal.
One of a Kind, One in the World (I LOVE that!) it measures around the neck 20 inches and clasps on the side. The pictures where the piece rests on the bust show you how bold it is, how long, how it falls on the neck and would look on You since it is a real human size mannequin (No a jewelry one)
