Brutal Pastel
Brutal Pastel is a balancing act where each element has its place, the perfect weight to keep a form in a totally articulated piece inspired in the solar natural amethyst stalactite slices -towers, long spikes that some call solar quartz, in this case, amethysts, natural and beautiful-
Each stone slice had been selected -and chased, pursued...- due to its color, a soft combination of amethyst and pale almost aquamarine palette, colors that keep combining along with the inclusion of pale amethyst natural stone beads, a faceted more intense small trapiche and a natural large aquamarine bead. Each slice, each stone has been set in solid sterling all from scratch, wild but precisely organized, rustic but almost mathematically combined to create the biggest challenge of all: The perfect balance. Balance is not just sizes and how they look, how they dance aside each others, how they "feel" together, balance is also how each segment falls, how joins, how the face is to the front and bottom instead to rotate "somewhere" when the necklace is on, the precision work.
Brutal pastel combines that precision work with painting with stones...
Finished in handcrafted chain and a toggle clasp, this one of a kind measures around the neck 21 inches approx.
For measurements, the pictures where the piece rests on the bust show you the real dimensions, this is a real human size mannequin -not a jewelry bust- so it shows how it could look on you.
