Destash- Origami metal Crane's chain 1
Before being almost fully fabricating the elements I use in jewelry I used to buy things that catch my eye, small elements, lose things, found objects... everything ended in my own "found objects" bins: Metal, glass, stones, tubes, feathers, bones, even real silk worm cocoons, OMG, you name it. It is hard to describe what that bins have, antiques, artifacts... among them I found the cranes. Small bead like lil metal cranes made in an alloy that I suspect pewter and silver plated. OF Courrrrrrrrrse couldn't use them "like That" -ewww- so I modified them with some pink salt "rocks" I had on hand. When looked like an excavated old metal origami, the plating lost as well as the shine with all the traces of "modern civilization" I made them a chain with the crane's watching each other on the center and finished with regular hand crafted chain and a commercial lobster clasp -to make it comfortable for the neck.
It is a "let's play" element, something made just because I found interesting to use that bead like cranes in a different way.
Destash, it measures total 29 1/2 inches
