Qilin ("8 1/2)
Annalee sent me some old silver pieces that were outdated to be molten and give birth to new elements saving the planet from more mining reusing minerals in the process, among them some pieces had some beautiful artistic work that felt obscene to erase from the world with the simple touch of a torch, so I decided to rescue the reliefs, elephants, winged fishes and this Qilin -the creature that uses its magical powers to uplift good men wherever it finds them- didn't need to wait too long, it was easy to feel inspired by them. (I found delightful how this page describe them https://mythology.net/mythical-creatures/qilin/) and as I'm in some kind of pearls loving time I dove into the luster and collected caramel, coffee and a touch of greenish beige to offer this Qilin the honors that felt needed; long and round, in contrast with the mildly oxidized sterling and fine silver; relief and rustic, a mix of industrial and ancient...
Bold but not too heavy, a solid piece to wear alone or with rows of pearls or chains or both...
8 1/2 inches it fits a smaller wrist due to the bold silver barrel and beads volume.
