Traces

$140.00Price

Traces is made with an interesting mix of Solid Shibuichi castings in Delft clay, natural lava stone, Sterling, hematite, mate hematite and cultured pearls, with an unexpected wiring: Titanium wire.

I'm in a quest to find the strongest, most brutal tolerant wire on earth, tried the super strong steel plastic coated, thick solid sterling, -bronze would not work for this kind of pieces-, You Name It, Tungsten even when strong is brittle, it has "pull tolerance" but it will not survive twisting -tried...-, the steel coated can sometimes get detached even when I use not just crimps but also glue and crimp covers... -tried- and solid sterling half hard has the perfect tension but a piece wired with it broke anyway I'm not sure if due to a defectible batch -I buy the thinner wire, just make the thicker wire myself- and Tungsten even when hard to work with, darker color -like oxidized sterling- it seems that can endure anyway it cannot be soldered nor molten even on the tips as I do with silver to prevent sharp tips to somehow escape the twist and be annoying.

Traces it is Supposed to be quite strong! Oh, and hypoallergenic.

It is Not light weight since the beads are all solid stone and hematite is a dense one, the focal elements that look like some kind of some lost creature tracks are thick and solid 50/50 silver copper shibuichi.

It clasps with a sterling hook and measures around the neck 22 inches approx.

For measurements, the pictures where the piece rests on the bust show you the real dimensions, this is a real human size mannequin -not a jewelry bust- so it shows how it could look on you.
